While I personally believe that total global extinction is an exceedingly unlikely scenario, at least as the direct consequence of our recklessness, the threat to our own species is far more real. Why? Because many of the plant and animals species we depend upon for food, medicine, and other uses are at terrible risk.
The earth will adapt to the changes we are causing it, of that I have no doubt. Given enough time, physical and biological systems will find a new equilibrium. As a biological scientist, I have faith that life, in some form, will find ways to occupy it.

But will humanity?

Genau diese Kultur soll in dieser Hausarbeit untersucht werden. Zunächst gilt es zu erläutern, welche Voraussetzungen die Jugendlichen hatten, als der Punk Ende der siebziger Jahre aus Großbritannien nach Deutschland kam. Denn genau dieser Zeitraum, soll in der Arbeit näher untersucht werden, da hier der Punk aufgrund seiner Aussagen nach Deutschland kam. Im Laufe der Jahre veränderten sich teilweise grundlegende Aussagen des Punk und er zerfiel in verschiedene Gruppen, die in dieser Arbeit keine Rolle spielen sollen. Doch welche gesellschaftlichen Verhältnisse erlebten die Jugendlichen und was für Zukunftsperspektiven sahen sie selber für sich als realisitisch zu der Zeit als Punk nach Deutschland kam? Denn schwierige Situationen, mit denen die Jugendlichen zu kämpfen hatten, würde die Flucht in eine Lebensalternative leichter verständlich machen. Doch was wollten Jugendliche durch diese Lebensweise ausdrücken? Ist es eine Flucht aus der gegenwärtigen Situation, lediglich eine Protesthaltung oder die Forderung nach einer Verbesserung? Um dieses festzustellen soll untersucht werden, inwiefern man Punk als politische Bewegung definieren kann und wie weit Punk geht, um eigene Ansichten zu vertreten und durchzusetzen. Dafür wird zunächst definiert, was eine politsche Bewegung überhaupt charakterisiert, um im Laufe der Arbeit bestimmte Merkmale zuordnen zu können. Interessant dabei ist die Reaktion, die Punks durch Aussagen oder Aktionen sowohl in der Politik als auch in der Gesellschaft hervorrufen, um festzustellen inwiefern sie eine Wirkung in der Öffentlichkeit erzielten. Zudem soll die Arbeit einen kurzen Einblick in die Punkszene der DDR bieten, um eventuelle Unterschiede zu verdeutlichen.[...]
